Dear Students
Some businesses offer to write your assessments for a fee. You may see their ads online or on the street. This is called "contract cheating." It is against the rules at Monaro. It can make you fail your class.
It is also against the law. The government banned it in 2020. We must report it to the authorities if it happens.
Tell a staff member if someone tries to sell you work. Also tell us if they ask for money or info about your classmates. Talk to Jason, Viviane, or your lecturer right away. Show us any messages they send. We can help you if they make you feel scared or unsafe.
Watch out for ads in chat groups like WhatsApp. Tell us if you see them. Change your passwords often to stay safe.
You might feel like using these businesses if you are stuck. But paying for work does not help you learn. It does not help you grow. If you need help, email Jason at jason@monaro.edu.au. You can meet him on the ground floor on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
Monaro gives real help. We teach you how to write and manage your time. We want you to do well. Please be honest in your work. If you do, you will learn a lot and be ready for a great career.
